Preparation:Ship collection kits Monday through Friday only. No fasting is required. For food antibodies testing, it is suggested that the patient eat a variety of foods for 2-3 weeks before testing (except for foods known to cause severe reactions). Doing so will help to ensure the presence of antibodies to problematic foods. Antibodies to a particular food may be ABSENT if the food was not consumed recently. Certain medications may influence antibody testing: Glucocorticoids, chemotherapy, other immunosuppressive agents, NSAIDS, anticonvulsants, Omalizumab, and Heparin. If possible, take medications or supplements after collection. Check with your physician before stopping medications.
Test Results:
14 business days once the lab receives the specimen. May take longer based on weather, holiday, or lab delays.
