What is the purpose of this test?
The Female Comprehensive Profile II Saliva and Blood - ZRT Test Kit is a comprehensive diagnostic tool that analyzes hormone levels in women. The test identifies and measures several key hormones that play a crucial role in maintaining a woman's overall health and well-being. By analyzing hormone levels, the test can identify any hormonal imbalances that could be causing a range of symptoms, such as fatigue, weight gain, insomnia, mood swings, and irregular periods.
The test measures levels of hormones such as estradiol, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA-S, cortisol, and thyroid hormones. Estradiol is a type of estrogen that is produced by the ovaries and plays a key role in regulating the menstrual cycle and maintaining bone health. Progesterone is another hormone produced by the ovaries that helps regulate the menstrual cycle and prepares the body for pregnancy. Testosterone is a male hormone that is also present in women in smaller amounts and plays a role in maintaining muscle mass and bone density. DHEA-S is a hormone produced by the adrenal glands that helps regulate the immune system and plays a role in aging. Cortisol is a stress hormone that is produced by the adrenal glands and plays a key role in regulating metabolism, blood sugar levels, and immune function. Finally, thyroid hormones are produced by the thyroid gland and play a key role in regulating metabolism and maintaining energy levels.
By measuring these hormones, healthcare providers can gain a detailed understanding of a woman's hormonal balance and identify any imbalances that could be contributing to symptoms or health issues. This information can be used to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses any hormonal imbalances and helps improve overall health and wellness. Depending on the test results, treatment may involve lifestyle changes, dietary modifications, hormone replacement therapy, or other interventions to help restore hormonal balance. Overall, the Female Comprehensive Profile II Saliva and Blood - ZRT Test Kit provides women with a powerful tool for understanding and optimizing their hormonal health.
