What is the purpose of this test?
The Alcat 21/20 Molds Sensitivity/Intolerance Panel is a diagnostic test that helps identify potential sensitivities or intolerances to various types of mold. This panel tests for 20 different molds that are commonly found in the environment and can cause a range of symptoms like headaches, fatigue, and respiratory issues. It's important to note that this panel only includes Candida albicans if it's ordered together with an Alcat food panel of 100 or more. This test can be helpful for individuals who suspect they may be experiencing symptoms related to mold exposure and want to identify which specific molds could be the culprit.
The 21/20 Molds Sensitivity/Intolerance Panel includes the following:
- Alternaria | Aspergillus
- Botrytis
- Candida albicans | Cephalosporium | Cladosporium Herbarum | Curvularia Specifera
- Epicoccum Nigrum
- Fusarium
- Helminthosporium | Hormodendrum
- Monilia Sitophila | Mucor Racemosus
- Penicilium | Phoma Herbarum | Pullularia
- Rhizopus Nigrican | Rhodotorula
- Spondylocladium | Sporobolomyces
- Trichoderma
